GET INVOLVED

Support our dedicated Pastors through Pastors Welfare Fund Program

The 1% Pastors Welfare Fund, on the other hand, is a more consistent and ongoing source of funding. It’s mandated or encouraged for local congregations to allocate 1% of their total income to support pastors’ welfare. This provides a steady stream of income for various pastoral needs, including retirement.
The Pastors Welfare Trust Fund Matching Grant is a special fundraising initiative designed to quickly raise funds for a specific purpose, often a retirement fund for pastors. It operates on a matching principle, where generous donors pledge to match donations up to a certain amount. This effectively doubles the impact of each donation.

The Pastors Welfare Fund is a ministry-driven initiative of the Christian Reformed Church in the Philippines (CRCP) dedicated to supporting pastors and their families. It aims to ensure that pastors receive the care, benefits, and appreciation they deserve for their vital role in the church community.

The Pastors Welfare Program aims to:

  1. Advocate for Mandated Pastors’ Benefits: Ensure that government-mandated benefits (SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth) are clearly stipulated in pastors’ letters of call and are faithfully provided by the calling church.
  2. Provide Insurance Coverage: Offer accident and life insurance to protect pastors.
  3. Support Retirement Planning: Help pastors plan for a secure and comfortable retirement.
  4. Express Appreciation: Provide Christmas gifts as a tangible expression of the church’s gratitude.
  5. Offer Counseling and Mentorship: Support pastors’ emotional and spiritual well-being.

The Pastors Welfare Fund receives support through:

  1. 1% Contribution from Tithes and Offerings: All local congregations (organized and organizing) are encouraged or mandated to allocate 1% of their total income to the Pastors Welfare Fund. This is in addition to the 3% ministry share already required for the National Office.
  2. Ministry Shares: 1% of the total income allocated for the Pastors Welfare Fund is remitted to the CRCP Office.
  3. Fundraising Initiatives: We recently launched a Pastors Welfare Fund with a Matching Fund Grant from our donors. This initiative aims to build a retirement fund for our pastors. Benevolent donors will match whatever we raise up to 1 million, providing an opportunity to raise a total of 2 million.
Classis Chairpersons are responsible for regularly encouraging and reminding churches, through their pastors, to remit their shares for both denomination and classis obligations.
You can contact the CRCP office, Pastors Sector, or your local classis for more information.
